He is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Director, Fellow of the Institute of Directors, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is the IoD Chartered Director Ambassador for Glasgow and West of Scotland, Master of the Glasgow Incorporation of Hammermen, PhD candidate and Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at Glasgow Caledonian University
